I need to start by saying the weblogs are a great tool for teachers and students to share ideas. The problem I have is being in the elementary and access for my students at home is limited, if not at all. But for the class let’s say they can use the weblogs and interact. I would have artist of the week, videos of the artist or display of artist work. I could pose questions and have students interact. Display student of the week art work, it’s that easy to put pictures and information into the page.
The concern is parents allowing them to go the site, maybe a blogger information class with your students would be a great place to start, even a contract on the block to check and sign by students or even parents. After visiting blog set up sites and class I now feel comfortable in the beginning of creating blogs, just hope someone looks at it.
